The Florida Consortium for International Education exists to promote international and intercultural education in Florida’s institutions of higher education.

Established in 1977, the Florida Consortium for International Education is a statewide association of professionals committed to promoting international education by providing opportunities for professional development, networking, and collaboration in order to learn best practices and continue innovating in the field.

Purpose:

  • Provide a forum for members to communicate and collaborate based on a genuine interest in advancing international education.
  • Host an annual conference dedicated to all aspects of international education for the faculty and administrators of all member institutions.
  • Promote activities dedicated to international education and intercultural communication.
  • Promote study abroad and global learning opportunities to all member institutions.
  • Facilitate the sharing of information, resources, and curricula related to all aspects of international education.
  • Serve as a catalyst for collaborative projects among member institutions.
