FGCU GEO will host a one-day COIL/VE Workshop on May 15, 2023 on the FGCU Campus. The workshop is proposed as an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators from international education offices to meet in a face to face setting, participate in a professional development session and examine collectively the realities and potentials for COIL/VE as a resource for internationalization and collaboration within and among our campuses.
The day-long workshop will include two sessions separated by a catered lunch -- deliberately protracted to afford us a chance to network and interact:
Morning Session: COIL/Virtual Exchange Overview with case study examples
Afternoon Session: COIL/Virtual Exchange as a Strategy for Multilevel Internationalization
The COIL/VE Workshop will precede an international conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU), entitled Vectors of Resilience also occurring on the FGCU campus from May 15- 17, 2023. Registration for the COIL/VE Workshop is $50 and can be found here https://hlu.fgcu.edu.
COIL/VE Workshop attendees will be invited to attend the opening reception of the Vectors of Resilience Conference on our campus waterfront venue. Attendees may also elect to remain for the Vectors of Resilience Conference for a highly discounted rate. Contact mmcdonal@fgcu.edu for details.
