South America, particularly Peru, Colombia, Chile and Argentina, is home to some of the most popular destinations for faculty-led trips and student travel. Recent political developments in several of these destinations have impacted the safety and security considerations for travel - this workshop will discuss the current situations in these destinations, and how to assess the risk of travel to these regions.

AnneLiese Busch has a BA in French and History and a BS in Political Science from Santa Clara University, and an MA in International Affairs from New York University. She lived in Lima, Peru from 2009-2015, where she was the director of the Center for American Education at the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and the dean of Broward College in Peru.
